Compose
The COMPOSE command enables you to create an Envoy 100 message for delivery
to recipients, or for saving within your own saved area. You will receive
typical memo-format prompts:
COMMAND? COMPOSE
TO:
CC:
BCC:
SUBJECT:
TEXT:
You can press RETURN in response to the CC: BCC: or SUBJECT: prompts to
leave those lines blank. When you wish to enter more than one user name in
the TO: BCC: or CC: lines, you must separate each name with a comma.
When you have finished entering the text of your message, type a period on
a line by itself and press RETURN. Envoy 100 will ask if you are ready to
SEND <C030> the message; a 'YES' response will post the message for
delivery to your recipients. A 'NO' response will return you to the
command prompt, so you can SAVE <C028> or MODIFY <C019> your message, or
send it with special options.
You can use any of the Envoy 100 editing commands while still in the
COMPOSE mode See also EDIT <C010>
Other subcommands are available under the 'COMPOSE' command to allow
users to access information or deliver preformatted messages via
scripts.
The COMPOSE script allows you to transmit multiple messages at one
time. These messages are prepared off-line and stored on some other
medium (i.e., tape, disc, etc.) and then transmitted via Envoy 100. These
messages must be entered in a fixed format. The TO, CC, BCC, SUBJECT and
TEXT prompts are suppressed.
